Here are 10 Things Your Competitors Can Teach You About Your Target Prospect!


1) Where $ is being spent to reach your target prospect.

You can see where your competition is spending money on their online advertising often by using a variety of tools. State of Digital has done a bang-up job of outlining these tools in their article “How You Can Track Competitors PPC Spend.” Read their post and learn some great tips. Once you do, you’ll have a good idea where those online dollars are going.


2) Target prospect receptiveness to competitors.

Hitwise can give you some great insights as well (which State of Digital mentions in their post), however, things have changed since they were acquired by Connexity and parted from Experian.  While Hitwise is a paid service, they provide a lot of competitive intelligence data.


3) Niche areas of your target prospect competitors are missing.

Finding your niche can be hard, no doubt!  But as the old saying goes “The riches are in the niches.”  Google Auction Insights is a great way through to see where you might find a niche to exploit.
